    Which 30 caliber for a 2nd custom build

    I also feel the 300 Win mag is a first choice. I have two to my son and he shot a nice Bull in AD with my Rem700BDL with 180 grain bullets. All the new stuff is just that and not much more. You'll always be able to find ammo for the 300win mag.

    I also am a 1911 guy. My wife wanted a Flock so I bought one. THE BIGGEST NEGATIVE is the lack of a "real" safety. Be very careful when handling this firearm! I also have a Beretta 92S and feel it's a much better weapon as it's well made out of quality steel parts .

    First reloads not going as planned...

    Hornady Superformance is a very stout factory load and primers look typical for 6.5 creedmoor. The scratch is most likely die to when the barrel was chambered. Did you follow the shoot one clean for the first 5 shots. You may have a slight butt which should go away with shooting a few more rounds.

    Anyone noticing ammo availability improving?

    Gotta love Scheels!!! My so lives in South Dakota and the Sioux Falls store had LRP and BR4 cci for $5/100. Support them for not price gouging.
