Sidearms & Scatterguns Moving to Cali, which handguns would you take?

Well my work maybe taking me from the great state of Texas to Cali... Work calls I guess. From what I understand, you can bring whatever handgun into the state. The handgun "roster" only applies to buy INSIDE Cali from a FFL dealer. In this case, which handguns would you buy/take...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Thinking about getting myself and STI, opinions???

Re: Thinking about getting myself and STI, opinions??? My STi edge in .40 is the smoothest and fastest pistol I can shoot accurately. I had a trojan in 9mm before and regret it everyday since i sold it. I like the grip of the 2011 better than the standard 1911, I might be weird, but I index...

Deserted in a wilderness, which caliber would you?

Re: Deserted in a wilderness, which caliber would you? my vote is for .22 and a 30-06 rifle. You'll have everything covered then. Or shotgun instead of the 30-06 for birds/fowl.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Alll around pistol

Re: Alll around pistol For all around gun, try getting a .40/.357 caliber gun that you can swap in 9mm as well. Glock 22 in .40 with .357 sig drop in barrel and 9mm conversion barrel+9mm mags. You can do the same with any of the .40/.357 glocks and Smith and Wesson m&p's.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Why are 1911's so expensive???

Re: Why are 1911's so expensive??? There definitely is a base cost to manufacturing something like the 1911 versus the other polymer framed firearms. However, alot of it is still whatever the customer will pay. Alot of commercialism goes into selling 1911's.
