    Three weeks is not a long time for a custom barrel, i.e., 375 cal with the taper that you want, and the twist rate that you desire...... If a barrel is "in stock" no problem; however, if you are having a custom barrel done three weeks turnaround time is reasonable for most custom barrel...

    Gunsmithing cant get the barrel off my 700

    If you aren't careful you can "tweet" the action, and damage the bolt rails.... I have been gunsmithing for forty years, and with the proper equipment you can remove the barrel...... If you want to send the barreled action to me then I will get your barrel off....
