This is exactly what I use them for too.

In a 19" 260 I can get the 140gn HPBT to 2700 easily with a BC of .58 plus you can easily find them right now vs the 162Amax. I cant comment of how a short 300SAUM will do but I am pushing the 185 Juggernauts to 2950 with ease in a 25" barrel

Also the ejection port cut out on the stock is different but will be fine.

I think the big concern isn't the reamer but the fact that some people have a lot of ammo made up for the longer FB so when having a new barrel spun up they would have to keep with the same reamer or push the bullets in another .032" As far as my concern earlier about OAL I think I'm good...

I learned this the hard way and so many people over look this when they start getting pierced primers. I didn't believe it at first, but after trying new brass with the same load I was convinced. There were absolutely no pressure signs with the new brass.

What is the OAL for the 140 AMAX? I just seat some Hornady 140 HPBT and they are 2.826, seems short but thats .010 off the lands. Gonna go out and try tomorrow and see how it goes.
