Barrels: Good vs. Good but not quite as good

I currently have 4 Lilja barrels in 308Win, they all shoot excellent on my FTR rig. The first barrel I bought was from Dan, it shot so well I just keep buying them.

Remington 700 fired while bolt closing and on safe

Years ago I had a 700 go off when I closed the bolt. I bought the rifle from a buddy and gave him a call as soon as I could. He admitted to messing with the trigger, and told me how to adjust it back close to specs. I didn't know shit from shinola back then, I always had wondered why that rifle...

    Finished Cerakote'n my son's 700

Nice rifle! Might want to teach your son not to have his finger on the trigger when he holds a rifle. Never too young to get them safe!!

Rifle Scopes Scope Requirements, long Range Shooting

If you're going to shoot Fclass and you're a geezer with bad eyes, 10X 'aint gonna cut it. I keep my Sightron cranked to 50 when I shoot 600 and longer, only come down when the mirage starts to act up.

    Bipod recommendation

If you think you might shoot Fclass,I would look at a Duplin. It weighs in right at a pound and is sturdy as hell, and has elevation adjustment. A little pricey, but well worth it IMO.

    Rifle Scopes Sightron 10-50 issues

I have three of those same scopes, they are all crystal clear at 50X. I'd send it back and let the factory fix or replace it.

    First Spotting Scope Recommendations

I have to agree on the Konus. It's good glas for a couple of hundred bucks, and their customer service is outstanding. Sent mine in for repair, the ocular was cracked. They replaced it free of charge and it was only gone a week.

Rifle Scopes Ran out of windage sighting in scope

I had this same problem with a Rem700 a couple of years back. It was caused by the mount holes being drilled off center, front to back. I tried every fix I knew about, including the Burris adjustable rings,to no avail. The fix was a set of adjustable rings from Control,a shop out of Texas...
