    Shite brass? Take a piece of stiff wire and straighten it out, put a little bend on the end so the wire now looks like an L, use the short end to see if you can feel a split inside the case opposite the mark on the outside. If you feel something the case is toast. Belt does not matter, size...

    338 Lapua Loads Using Reloader 22

    I am using 85.7/RL-22 with Hornady 285 for 2755 out of my Salvage BA-110. Tried a few other powders and noticed Hornady manual had data for RL-22, which I have a "lot" of. Shoots very well, hope this helps and if you need more data let me know and can dig the book out.

    I am using IMR 7828 with 130 AB for about 3250fps, don't have exact charge weight here but somewhere around 63 grains. Using Winchester brass and Gold Medal Mag primers. Make sure you work up to these numbers

    For primers there is no wrong answer, just use same primer all the time. For powders RL-15 and Varget are very popular followed by WIN-760. I see you are in NV and would recommend trying Varget, won't get quite same speed as RL-15 but will handle heat a little better. Shoot this caliber a bit...

    Re: 6.5x55 and Varget? Varget is very accurate, but slow, try RL-22. There are a lot of 6.5X55's up here and RL-22 is a popular powder for heavier bullets.

    Re: Stainless Steel Tumbling Media To dry my cases I just rinse/soak them in really hot water till the cases are too hot to hold. Just normal hot tap water, shake excess water out, throw on a towel and they are dry in no time. works for me
