    Boresnaking for better shots.

How often or if any do you have to use your boresnake to keep the lands and barrel clean of debris and keep a clean shot. I have heard you have to do it every 3 to 5 shots so it doesn't mess up the lands. I shot it at 100 yards and 400 yards and had no problems. Shot about 75 times because I...

Rifle Scopes Nightforce NXS scope problem

I have a Nightforce NXS scope without zero stop for elevation and windage. I got my rifle dialed in at zero and removed the elevation cap to set my zero and noticed a allen head set screw in the middle. what the heck is it for tried calling nightforce and they gave me the runaround. Does anybody...

    preferred die brand

I tried lee dies and they weren't good for me. I bought the hornady dies and absolutely love them. I reload 168 gr. Sierra Matchkings and they are long and the hornady dies have a deep seating die and the matchkings never bottomed out or messed up the tips. Excellent dies.

So hard to find reliable electronic scales.

My first scale was a RCBS rangemaster 750 and it was very accurate and always held its zero. I upgraded to a hornady auto dispenser and I always have to set the load to 1 whole grain less because it always goes over. But I just trickle it everytime and just used to it.

What 300 win mag dies to buy?

I use the Hornady dies because I shoot the 168 gr. sierra matchkings and they are long and thin. The seating die has a deep neck and never had a problem bottoming out like I did with the lee and rcbs dies. IMO

    Hornady 168gr A-Max vs 168gr BTHP

I have been shooting 168gr. sierra HPBT with 72 gr. of IMR4350 at almost 3200fps and had excellent results. Tried the 168gr. hornady and didn't have much luck. Gonna try the 168gr. berger VLDs and see what i can do with it. But i heard that they are not gonna make the 168gr. berger VLD...

    Price Gouging

Everything is just getting ridiculous. I was at a gun show 2 weeks ago and there was atleast 100 people waiting to get in. I have been checking out alot of places to buy reloading supplies. IMR4350 powder went up to almost $40. Just about all brass was gone and most anything in 30 cal tips...

Re: 300 Win Mag....... My first rifle Believe it or not, the damn thing is so heavy. You would think that it would kick like a mule. Surprisingly it don't kick hard at all. The overall length is right at 48".

300 Win Mag....... My first rifle

Re: 300 Win Mag....... My first rifle Honestly I don't flinch at all when I shoot it. My only problem is on some days I just can't get relaxed to shoot it no matter how much I slow my breathing down. I get to thinkin too much and feel like I am gonna shoot a benchrest scud missle with a...

300 Win Mag....... My first rifle

Re: 300 Win Mag....... My first rifle I feel pretty good the way it is now. The only thing I will probably do next is to parkerize it and make it a solid black or have a new complete paint job on it. Might change the scope as I get better as I progress more and more at long range.

Re: 300 Win Mag....... My first rifle It is in 300 win mag and I believe you are right being the varmint stock. Got mixed up, that is what he had on his rifle was the tactical and he put the varmint stock on mine.
