Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

The 2.0l from a 2004 suzuki, for my 1989 pontiac lemans lemons car. Timing skipped and it bent valves as we were getting loaded for a race, really sucked. New valves, new bearings, new rings, arp rod bolts and head studs, fingers crossed for 3 digits at the wheels (old engine was likely less...

Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

The "this will be quick" engine build has hit 6 months. But there is progress.

Anyone done a current Gas Block comparison?

They work well. The lever can be tough to reach with most handguards though. I like the rifle speed better.

    "Over Tightening" is a Problem?

Book specs based on thread size are based on solid bolts and spec size nuts. We're dealing with thin body parts with a thin wall nut. We're also typically dealing with dissimilar metals and coatings, quite different than dry steel that the sae specs are based around.

Looking for a 30 cal can

It makes a nice 18" package that sounds great. It's also just a fun example of something designed around a very different cartridge that's great on subs. The gen 2 338 made much bigger gains on subs and 308 vs the gen 1 than on 338lm.

Looking for a 30 cal can

High performance cans perform well in more applications than not. IE 338 ultra is great on 300 blackout subs.

    Hornady on tuners.

I have to be honest, the tuner stuff is interesting from an engineering point. That said, looking at record setting rifles (benchrest) from the last 20 years, they're on maybe half of them? That suggests that they don't hurt accuracy, and maybe they make a change in the 0.0xx moa range. But...

    Hornady on tuners.

Yeah, I don't think that's doing much of anything.

    Hornady on tuners.

Found the article, leaves a lot of questions https://www.hbkworld.com/en/knowledge/resource-center/articles/prone-shooting#!ref_bksv.com

    Hornady on tuners.

So, weird thought I had while back at shot. If you take a stick and hold it straight out, the tip is going to wobble around, because no one is perfectly steady. If you add a fixed weight to the far end of the stick, it's going to wobble around, but move slower. If your wobble zone moves...
