I just used brake cleaner and heated the metal parts to get any oil out then recleaned with brake cleaner again. Painted and cured it in an electric smoker at 165. Seems to be holding up well but only has about 400 rounds through it.
I have used it on several so far and for the price I think it’s hard to beat. It does seem to hold up well just not in the high wear areas.I really like the earth brown color
I have had great luck with cfe223 in the 243 lbc with the heavies. I have not had a chance to test the temp sensitivity on any loads yet so no help there. The 95 Tmks are right at 3000 and 105 bergers are at 2770 with the cfe223.
My vote would be the 6mmar/243 lbc.just finished one am doing load work up. I went that route because I didn't feel it was worth forming brass for a ar. I'm still playing with loads but a 22" is getting 2900-3000 with 95 Bergers. Haven't gotten out to try the 105s yet but guessing it will be...
Anyone Running a lantac side charging upper. I have heard that certain bcg's won't work with it. The young side charging bcg is supposed to work but I'm wondering what it is that is different.?
I too just picked up a 1600 arc for the price and must say I'm pretty impressed with it. I have ranged all the way out to 1830 with it and everything under that, I have noticed it gets a bit confused when things are close to each other. Bushnell just upgraded it to the 1mile version so I wonder...
