I have the same thing going. Redding f/l bushing and competition shell holders not able to size (.002"). Ground an old standard shell holder as a temporary fix.. I read somewhere the Lee f/l sizer works fine.

I have run into this with Redding dies a couple times (on bolt guns). Your fired brass is likely out of a factory chamber. RCBS F/L sizing die solved it .

And For using different bullets, you can return to old settings easily. Another is helping to find your lands exactly ...

Thanks to Elf for the design and parts list. Added a couple of Skip's features..... Used 2" Delrin (ebay) for the feed roller with a 1/2" cove .. .

I have a 20" barrel (R25) and barely short of 3000 with 125 gr. ballistic tips... ARcomp has given my best accuracy. 8208 gave a little more speed...

Sorry to be in on this a little late. Also shooting a SR25 (re-barreled, X-caliber chambered in 308w,matched bolt). My fired shells read 1.6280" (Hornady .400" bushing)..If I bump the shoulders back .003" with a F/L die, shells become wedged in the chamber, and extremely tough to extract...

An an adjustable gas block (JP) may help gain some speed and accuracy..

Try it with once fired brass, if no success maybe a standard f/l sizing die, ...
