The Shot You’ll Never Forget Giveaway - Enter To Win A Barrel From Rifle Barrel Blanks!

This would have been back in the mid-80’s, when I was in my early teens. We lived on a farm, and an area just to the east of our house was prone to holding water, to the tune of about 1-3 feet deep. One day, I noticed we had some ducks on the water and I’d never taken a duck before. I...

Coors prides itself on using pure Rocky Mountain spring water in its product. Some good old Kentucky flood water should be just right for the flavor of bourbon! When life gives you lemons…😂

APA Gen 4 Littel Bastard/ Fat Bastard

They’ve got the remaining Gen 3 brakes on sale now too. Just picked up a Fat Bastard for $150.50. Only the 5/8x24 in 6mm was left in stock, but that’s what I needed. The Little Bastard is going for $136.50.

    Barrel cleaning with alcohol

I run a couple patches of 90% rubbing alcohol after the copper cleaner, then a couple dry patches, and then an oil patch and another dry patch to finish.

Firearms G.A.P built barreled action plus extras….

There very well may be a Georgia Precision, but your barrel is marked G.A. Precision out of North Kansas City, MO. What the other posters are trying to tell you is that the “G.A.” In G.A. Precision, out of N. KCMO, does NOT stand for Georgia Precision. Why would it when the company was founded...

    Feedback 1sickpuppy is scammer

I agree 100%, but then you’ve got the sellers who specify in their ads that “reply’s to this post trump PM’s.”

Is this normal for a custom action?

They ARE smooth when all forces are centered. I can tip my rifle up and down and the bolt just glides into place! It’s really more about technique than the action. This was at G.A. Precision, not at Defiance, but yes. I was debating on having them send it in for nitride. “Ash” brought out a...

Is this normal for a custom action?

This was my first custom action as well. I’m used to Remingtons and Howas. I’ve started running this action with bolt body wiped down with a quality lube. It’s not dripping wet, but it’s got a sheen to it, and it definitely helps! Many will caution against it and tell you it attracts dirt...

Is this normal for a custom action?

In my experience, Defiance’s tight tolerances tend to allow the action to bind if the pressure is not close to center, and more so on the raw stainless vs the nitride or DLC coated action. I’ve got a Tenacity that binds horribly if I’m running the bolt out on the knob. Even on extraction, my...

Wet Mounting Scope Mounts - Where It All Started

It can. MDT has a video on this where they exerted different measured forces to the top of the objective bell to show the corresponding POA/POI shift. I’m no engineer, but I would think the amount of shift observed, using this technique, would also be dependent on the positioning of the front...
