So I'm stuck between a tough choice, mostly because I've never bought scopes of this quality and haven't had the chance to compare them side by side. The ERS would be the 6-24x50 and the XRS 4.5-30x50. Anyone have experience with both of them in a comparison sense? They'll be tossed on my .308...

Tagging off of this...I have a Savage 10 Precision Carbine that is also a bottom bolt release. Is that going to be a big deterrent if I want to drop the barreled action into any type of aftermarket chassis?
