@Patty @canezach @b6graham Forgot I made this thread. Amazing how much can change in four years and how much I didn't know. I really appreciate you guys pointing me in the right direction. FYI: my current process is now (learned some from this thread): 1. Decap 2. Lube with OneShot 3...
I haven't been following this thread so take this opinion for what it is. I bought a Ruger Precision Rifle years ago, and before I could take delivery due to backorders I was a new member and was only reading and posting on Snipershide in the RPR thread...because that was what brought me here...
Looks like they already have you! If I were to summarize the show: First hour: presents that people cannot control themselves from being glued to their social media. AND ANYONE CAN PROMOTE WHAT THEY WANT via social media. <——true and legitimate first hour Next 30 minutes is a movement to...
Thanks everyone for the info, I’ve learned a lot from the discussion. Some follow up questions/discussions: I have for the build: Spikes lower (I can’t change this because I live in CA) Noveske handguard Ordering a Krieger barrel with barrel extension included After reading through the above...
I’m looking to do a few upper builds, with top tier handguards, and Krieger barrels. Assuming the upper receiver is mil spec, from Anderson to Noveske/BCM - will the upper receiver matter for group size or anything else?
Nice. I couldn’t find a video on how to get the ejector out, just the firing pin mechanism. Cool, good to know. From what I’ve read and read here it seems like I’m pretty safe
The gauge did end up catching and it was pretty easy to move once caught (I slid the bolt back and forth after catching). The closing of the bolt was incredibly easy too. Thanks for your advice. The thing that got me was the brownells info.
I didn’t remove the ejector and did not initially hook gauge under the extractor. Although once hooked it was still very easy to move the handle up and down. I also tested a dummy round that is longer than a stock round, that was built for my previous barrel. It’s so long it doesn’t fit in...
Hi Everyone, Tightened down the barrel on my RPR with a new Krieger 6.5 Creedmoor For the No-Go Gauge, bolt won’t shut = good For the Go Gauge, bolt will shut. It will close using just my fingernail very lightly. However when removing the firing pin assembly I feel a bit more tension with...
Criterion did some tests on various rounds, and Wolf Gold ended up grouping at 2.5-2.75 MOA. https://criterionbarrels.com/media/accuracy-analysis-of-different-types-of-ammunition-with-criterion-ar15-barrel/
I actually have a box of Fiocchi. I’ll try it out. You’re tight, it’s 1:8. Thanks for the diagram, I’ll try some heavier bullets Yea I might be asking for too much I’ll try some heavier bullets I have a Daniel Defense upper/BCM barrel. I added a triggertech trigger and magpul PRS...
I don’t have the time to reload enough for my Precision rig, as I’m a bit particular with my loads. So in between, I want to shoot my semi-auto AR-15 I bought a good scope and rings for the AR, but am getting at best 1.5 MOA at 100 yards using Wolf Gold. Sometimes I even go to 3 MOA on my 10...
