    Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock 20

I've been wanting a 10mm for some time and the Glock is probably the best candidate for standing up to the punishment of full power loads. The problem that has held me back for so long is that from a practical standpoint the 10mm really doesn't perform that much better than the more readily...

Official Accuracy International AT First Look

Nice. The AT brings the AI into the modern age with more class than the AX IMHO. I love the simplified barrel change system and the new price but loath the new optic rail. I always thought the AI was fairly progressive by offering a basic rail with scope mounts tailored to specific optic...

talk me out of...or into...an ACR

I honestly believe that had the Masada/ACR ended up in the hands of a more serious production team it could have been better than the SCAR. However bushmaster cut a lot of corners and produced a rifle that's roughly the equivalent of a $900 AR. While I don't think the SCAR is a better design...

Rifle Scopes suggestions for a 22 lr scope upgrade

I had a SWFA SS 10x on my .22 for years and was pleased with it for target shooting out to 225 yards but I don't know how much I'd like it for squirrel hunting. Currently I have a Falcon Menace 4-14x mil/mil FFP on my .22 and I would recommend it but it'll be just a tad over what you're looking...

AI AE built in butt spike usage

Re: AI AE built in butt spike usage Pull down on the big round knob just above the base to extend the spring loaded spike. Deploy the spike to the desired length then let go of the knob to lock it into the nearest detent. Rotate the large knurled knob for fine tuneing.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Looking for a 9mm?

Re: Looking for a 9mm? Another vote for the M&P 9 it is a very reliable and comfortable gun. The trigger reset is a bit mushy but not terrible. See how you like it and get an aftermarket trigger if it doesn't work for you. S&W has managed to carve a significant chunk out of Glocks market with...

    Barrett M82A1

Re: Barrett M82A1 I'll add that the Barrett (M82A1/M107 specifically) holds its value very well from a collector's standpoint. If you want a precision rifle it's hard to beat the versitility, accuracy and weight of the Desert Tactical Arms Hard Target Intervention and it comes in a bit less...

    Barrett M82A1

Re: Barrett M82A1 I think of it as an $8000 scoped battle rifle but an AK is a reasonable comparison too. It'll eat what you feed it and you'll have a lot of fun but it'll never be a true precision rifle.

    Forged VS Billet

Re: Forged VS Billet In knife making you have stock removers and bladesmiths. The stock removeres take a forged bar of steel then cut and grind it to shape. The bladesmiths take a piece of steel then hammer it into shape before final grinding. Both achieve the same result but the bladesmith...

    Rifle Scopes Spuhr mount

Re: Spuhr mount Håkan, Any chance of seeing a one piece 35mm mount to accomidate the upcomming Leupold MK8 3.5-25x56 scope? After having my other scopes in Spuhr mounts it'd be hard to go back to anything else!

    What AR lowers to avoid?

Re: What AR lowers to avoid? As best i can think of there really aren't any bad lowers anymore. No one i can think of makes cast lowers (stay away from th plumb crazy plastics) anymore and most the mil spec 7075 ones are made by only a few different folks. Really the price difference is over...

New to AR15 rifles, looking for some advise

Re: New to AR15 rifles, looking for some advise Rainier Arms RUC Damn near perfect and weighs less than 7 pounds. About the only thing I'd add is an ambi safety and optics (and evaluate the MB for a swap to a Battlecomp). Rainier is barely making money off them when you consider the...
