    Recommendations for Chronograph

Another vote for the Magnetospeed V3. I used mine for the first time this past week end and it picked up every shot from subsonic 300 black out to supersonic 308. I have suppressors on all my guns and it mounted to them with no issues at all. I almost went with one of the $100 chronographs...

Sig Sauer SSG 3000 full write up and myths clarified.

I finely got a chance to shot my new Sig this weekend. Weather has been a bitch the past few weekends. I only had PPU 168gr Match and 168gr FGMM to try in it. After getting a good zero at 100 yards I tried some groups with the PPU first. I am new to shooting this precision stuff but got what I...

    Sig SSG 3000 Patrol 18"

I have an 18" SSG 3000 and so far like it a lot. I have only shoot 168gr FGMM and PPU 168gr match in it so far. I have also shot it suppressed with a Hunter Town Arms Kestrel 308 ( my 300blk can ). It is showing a lot of potential with the factory ammo so far. I have some hand loads ready to...

Rifle Scopes Spuhr mount owners I have a couple of questions for ya...

I used the Wheeler "fat wrench" to mount the mount and scope. I used a "torx" bit and it worked fine. I have used this method to mount scopes for a long time. A link to the fat wrench I used. Wheeler Engineering FAT (Firearm Accurizing Torque) Torque Wrench

Rifle Scopes Spuhr mount owners I have a couple of questions for ya...

I probably will not call them. Like I said it is not really a big issue to me. I can't really see it being so far under the rear of the scope. I am confident that the scope is level and will test to make sure Saturday morning when I go to sight it in. I asked about it here because I was curious...

Rifle Scopes Spuhr mount owners I have a couple of questions for ya...

I don't know what is up with the level in my mount. Not really a big deal though, it is pretty hard to see anyways. I tried to get a pic with my reference level in the shot but can't get it to come out right. Here is a pic of the scope in the mount.

I was good on that. It missed by just a hair but missed the parallax knob.

Rifle Scopes Spuhr mount owners I have a couple of questions for ya...

So I picked up a Spuhr 4616 cantilever mount for my SSG 3000 and Steiner 4-16x scope. I went with the cantilever mount because I am a big guy and it is more comfortable for me when shooting prone to have the scope a little higher on the gun and maybe I will use it on an AR in the future. My...

Rifle Scopes steiner elevation knob Problem? (binding)

I just pulled my 4-16x50mm out of the box to check the turrets both are dead on the marks all the way around. I must have gotten lucky with mine.

Rifle Scopes Stenier question about below optical center setting.

So if my math is right I need to come up 7.25 mils to get the optical center for this scope? It has been a while since I have used mils/MOA or MOA/mils conversions. Edit to add. thanks for the info Quickdraw40

Rifle Scopes Stenier question about below optical center setting.

Can anyone tell me how far below optical center Steiner sets the scopes from the factory? I have a 4-16x50mm scope, it is number 5416.

Sig Sauer SSG 3000 full write up and myths clarified.

So after reading this thread a few times I broke down and picked up an 18" SSG 3000 today. The "plastic" stock is pretty hard core for a plastic stock. Feels very solid. Still have not made up my mind on a scope yet. So it will be a little while until I can shoot it and work up some loads for...

    MK12 MOD-0 LETS SEE EM!

Re: MK12 MOD-0 LETS SEE EM! I was sitting in my moms basement surfing around and saw a link to this thread at AR15.com and since none of my friends would come over for a circle jerk I thought I would add my MOD 0 to the mix.
