    Need some help with my new cannon

    Update with pictures! Shot the cannon last night and it went great. Ended up using about 2.5 ounces of 2f, and that shot a handful of gravel through plywood. Nice shot group as well! Now to find or make some solid projectiles....

    Its not a decoration! I took it apart last night to check out the wood, and found a bunch of metal bolts bent from the recoil. The original owner didnt use graded bolts to hold it to the carriage. This thing has to be pretty powerful to bend parts like it did.

    My HK USC shoots 230 grain ammo at 1050FPS, and I dont cry when 45acp brass gets lost in the weeds. Dont need hearing protection with it either. A supressor would make it silent, but who cares if the animal hears the sound. It already has a hole in him, so he knows you are there!

    removing tar from pulled bullets

    brake cleaner. It erases the tar on contact. I put them in a bowl, hit them with the brake cleaner, and roll them around. Dump the rounds on a paper towel.
