Re: Alternatives to chrome lining? Chui, many thanks for posting all that. Any thoughts on the Ferratic Nitride process by Losok Custom Arms? http://losokcustomarms.com/pages/finishes.php
Re: Alternatives to chrome lining? Scottmilk9, I'd say there is nothing wrong with SS, just that I'm not keen on it. Plus I'm having an illogically hard time shaking the myth (is it?) that SS barrels can shatter in sub-zero temps <shrug>.
Re: Alternatives to chrome lining? Hi, BOLTRIPPER. HVOF does sound pretty intense. It wouldn't do to have the barrel warped! I wonder that F. Nitrocarbing can be done at lower temps.. Mayhap Ferratic Nitriding, is a similiar process? Offered here: http://losokcustomarms.com/pages/finishes.php
Re: Alternatives to chrome lining? HVOF sounds neat, .. I'll check it out. Thanks THT. Chui, I forgot to ask, do you know of anyone offering Ferritic Nitrocarburization single-job/retail?
Re: mil reticle monocular/binocular recommendations? Thanks, Scott. When do you expect the TMR to be back in stock? <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Let me know how they work for you.</div></div> If I end up with them, I'll do that.
Re: mil reticle monocular/binocular recommendations? Thank you Ratbert and Yippeekiay. After considering your posts, I think I'll give the Leopold Military binos a whirl. They are available with Mil-Dot and Tactical Milling reticles.
