It's a Caldwell BR Rock rest, but i changed out the cheap bullbag to the Protektor bullbag that fits the A5 McMillian stocks, I have a McMillian U1 stock on the Vudoo, its not the scope or the rings. ATACR 5-25 and the Badger rings are torqued at 65 inch lbs on the nuts and 18 inch lbs in the...
It's not quite consistent on the last few trips, it would shoot a nice cluster at 50 or 100, and then throw a little flyer and will not shoot the same tight group on the next few 5 shot groups and it would shoot tight again afterwards. I like consistency, I guess I need to break it in some more.
Are there any ammunition depots where you can buy different lot # of Lapua and SK ammo for testing that sells 50 round boxes for each lot # instead of the 500 round box?
Vudoo 360 arrived earlier in the week, and I ran one wet patch of C4 and a few dry patches and she was ready to shoot those SK Standard Plus ammo. I bought two bricks of them, and so far on two trips I made to the range, I put 250 rounds total. Sighted in at 50 yards, my ATACR shows 5.5 MOA dead...
The Vapors shoots darn good as the Hybrids for me, during fireforming Lapua brass, it shot into the .1's @ 100 with virgin brass. Tested at 725 yards, shot into a 1.75 inch group on steel. After fireforming all 200 pieces, I redid the load development, added an extra grain of powder and shoots...
.1-.2 MOA or better @ 100, to be able to shoot 2 inches at 600 or better. I don't do PRS, I prefer benchrest. We shoot F class at 600 yards, but like shooting steel as well on my place.
I only have 100 pieces of Lapua 6BR brass atm, wanting to buy another 100 pieces, but not sure if the lot will match my current lot, since I want both batch to shoot the same POI at 600, so I may want to buy 200 pieces instead. I forgot what my old lot number was. I have always used Lapua brass...
Lapua brass 105 Berger Hybrid Varget 30.2 grains BR4 primers 2823 fps ES 3 Just had a 600 yard match 45 shots / 3 strings of 15 shots @ 600 and measured under 4 inches ( counting wind and mirage )
Scope height - 2.12 Velocity - 2825 fps Firing direction to the East with 20 mph southeast wind Location is south Texas - 33' elevation Temp - 85 degrees / humidity 65% As for atmospherics, please define for me if above is not enough. I sent some images. Thanks
I did recheck the scope height and its spot on. Yes, the target was verified at 705 yards. If I lower the BC to .250, then its spot on, but its too much BC drop to justify why I'm getting that kind of drop. Even the velocity is spot on too. It's driving me nuts or is that Strelok Pro the issue...
