    ar export

Re: ar export Thanks for the post. A couple of things I would like to point out though... The DPMS .308 rifles, are well know for having serious issues - a fellow marksmanship instructor had a student bring a BRAND NEW DPMS .308 ( refuse to call the crud they produce an AR-10) to a shoot...

    Romanian PSL questions

Re: Romanian PSL questions The PSL I used was horrible. The mags were of such poor quality that it would not even strip a round from the magazine. The accuracy was horrible, due in part to the cruddy Romanian scope no doubt, but it was still a weapon that I would not take into combat...

    ar export

Re: ar export Do NOT buy a DPMS rifle. They are the bottom of the barrel (along with Olympic Arms, and Hesse/Vulcan) as far as any AR platform rifle goes. Rock River Arms has a DEA (US Drug Enforcement Agency) contract. Armalite rifles tend to be fairly good - they are by far and away...

Look @ the job DPMS did on my .30 remington ar

Re: Look @ the job DPMS did on my .30 remington ar Whoa... Not sure, but I think I might not shoot that sucker until it is repaired by a drunk sailor... Man, I didn't think it was possible to mess up an AR.....I guess this one takes the cake for factory damaged rifles...Makes Olympic look...

    Tactical Carbine Classes??

Re: Tactical Carbine Classes?? I am located in the Northeast. Travel is NOT an issue for me. If the training is high quality, and the Instructors are good, I don't care how far I have to go.

    Tactical Carbine Classes??

I am looking at attending a Tactical Carbine course this next summer, and have some questions for those of you that have attended any course on the subject. 1: Where did you go? 2: How well did you feel that the Instructors paid attention to your specific desires regarding class material? 3...

    Mr556?

Re: Mr556? Won't get one. All it is is a fancy new whiz bang gas-piston design that probably has issues with carrier tilt, and loosening barrels.... I don't like HK all that well - not to say they don't make good rifles, but unless they try a little harder to help the civilian and smaller...

Build me an AR - please

Re: Build me an AR - please If you are looking for a good reliable carbine.... #3: Bushmaster or Rock River $800-$900 #2: Colt 6920 $1200-$1300 #1: Noveske $1500 and up. I personally am going to be upgrading to a Noveske within the next few weeks.

Suppressors Whats a good starter handgun for the Girlfriend?

Re: Whats a good starter handgun for the Girlfriend? Get something SHE is comfortable with - DO NOT get something for her because you like it. If she can get used to the grip on a Glock 19, that would be my first choice in terms of reliability, but if she cannot get used to that, then find...

    Home Build vs Factory

Re: Home Build vs Factory What tools do you need to "build" (read assemble) a lower at home? You need a vice, and anything else you need is very easily improvised (the vice is for pressing the bolt catch pin into place.) Build you own lower but unless you know someone that has built an...

    5.56 or 7.62 for CQB

Re: 5.56 or 7.62 for CQB Ah.... And one other thing I forgot to mention before.. A 9mm carbine (preferably of the AR flavor) would do the trick as well. Decent ballistics, quick recovery time and less muzzle blast/flash.

    5.56 or 7.62 for CQB

Re: 5.56 or 7.62 for CQB To the OP. I don't know what exactly you will be using this weapon for, but I am assuming you are not in the military, so what I have to say is based on that premise. If you want something for home defense, I would suggest one of several different things to...
