Longtime shooter including bulls eye pistol, IPSC, 3 Gun and tactical precision but only out to 300 yards. Born and raised in Indiana. Now I've been in Texas for 10 years and it's about time to extend my range. Anything over 300 is hard to come by in Indiana but abundant here in the great state of Texas. My son is a world class Grand Master IPSC shooter and that took up most of my time when he was younger. I sort of took the coaching and reloading role so he could excel in the sport. My wife took on the role of manager and secured thirteen corporate sponsors. He received everything but brass for free. He was on the 1999 USPSA World Team where they finished first in the junior division and third team overall. He was only 17 at the time. There were approximately 750 shooters and he finished 17th overall. He finished I believe 9th overall in the USPSA limited Nationals when he was only 16. This went well until life got in the way like a job a wife and a beautiful daughter. He still goes and kicks a little butt once in a while. His talents are much greater than mine. I am more inclined to the precision and tactical aspect of the shooting game. I also love to hog hunt. I was hooked the first time I went. The laws here in Texas allow hunting them anytime anywhere and with anything. They are the most fun at night. I hope to learn a lot here from the vast knowledge pool of the members.
