Has anyone considered using these as a spotting scope? I've seen a few videos which makes it seem capable to handle it plus it would also give access to a recording instrument for the long range shots as well. Any thoughts? Anyone using these?

So I just picked up a new Ruger 22/45 lite Mark IV on saturday and took it out to the range yesterday. Every 6th or 7th round in the mag would have a failure to feed. I know it's not much but I was able to shoot steel out to 300 yesterday. Decided that using the scope at 24X was cheating so I dialed it back to 6. It made me feel a little better about my marksmanship when I'm still pinging the 6 in pie at 300 without fail at 6x.
