Rifle Scopes Scope Base Cant question

My understanding is that it's for a few reasons: it's supposed to be harder on the scopes to use it at the extreme range of it's windage/elevation adjustment as you move away from the elevation center, you'll have less usable windage adjustment Also, in this case your scope has enough travel...

Rifle Scopes Look what showed up today

I'm aware. The exit pupil on a 15x 40mm scope leaves a bit to be desired, and honestly, it's hard to get rings low enough to NOT clear a 50mm objective on a bolt gun with a rail. I've got TPS low or super low rings on a Remington 5r with a 20moa base and there's more than ample room for flip...

Rifle Scopes Look what showed up today

Agreed. Honestly, it's going to have a hard time beating the glass on the Weaver, although I much prefer the Mil-Quad reticle of the SS. I shake my fist at 40mm objectives on this level of scope.

Rifle Scopes Look what showed up today

I agree. Seeing as I'm in the market for a Sub $1000 ffp with in the 3-15 or 4-16 range, please show me some options for a scope that meets these basic requirements: FFP Mil reticle and exposed Mil turrets Zero Stop Proven record of good tracking Glass that doesn't suck. Meaning better than the...

Rifle Scopes Looking at an Razor HD 5-20x50 or Viper PST 6-24x50

The glass on the PST will definitely leave you unimpressed if you've used other higher end (or decent lower magnification) optics. It's a rock solid scope from what I've seen, and enjoys a great reputation. I'd split the difference in cost and go for an SS 5-20, personally.

    Texas Gun Shops

What are you looking for? High end stuff and best overall selection is Ray's in west Dallas, Bullet Trap has been pretty picked over lately, and Bachman doesn't keep many rifles in stock. Gun Gear to Go doesn't generally have much interesting except for the KSG, if that's your thing. ($2000 LOL).
