Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
Your package came back to me, “return to sender, no forwarding address” when I sent it back to you in back in September, and sat in my office for months before you finally responded to emails I sent. I was the one that reached out to you numerous times to send them back. 2 months went by, then...
Gentlemen Some long awaited news… I think I’ve finally duplicated the tombstone! Just cut one out and mounted it up. Look clearer than the originals. Caveat… need a source for the threaded lock ring it is attached to.
Different color variations I’ve been playing with. These are all anodized with the same dye, I use a few processes to “oxidize” the ano before it’s sealed in a boiling bath of nickel acetate. Top one is an Accurange, some minor cosmetics, but probably sell it.
Unfortunately, I’m not setup to make mildot reticles. If I can acquire one (like I did for someone’s Unertl USMC 10x), I will gladly install it. Parsons had one of my scopes (before I starting working o them) for 2 years. Ironsights pulled some sh!t on me and asked me to pay an “expediting”...
Hello everyone! Just to let you know, I’m alive. Sounds like someone with a chip on their shoulder may have started a false rumor about me. Knock on wood, I’m only 57, I may take Viagra once in a while, but plan on being around for a while.
Got the black dye mixed up, soda blasting the stripped aluminum before wiring all the parts up to go into the sulfuric acid bath. Just finished up hogslife Gen 2, looks beautiful.
Not an expensive fix. I’ve swapped tombstones from many a gen2 to Gen 1s after duplicating the reticle in a Gen 1 that then needed a tombstone. They are glued to a ring in the rear of the erector, and then the ring. Sometimes the glue they used to secure the ring melts.
CMP auctions. I’ve bought 3, and final bids ranged from $2500 to $5500. When the CMP first offered them for auction, they were going for insane prices.
I have a Unertl MST100 #1011. Bought it from the CMP, looks brand new still had the red caps on it, although I think it has the spring mod. Need to dig that rifle out of the safe.
Line is open. It’s a bit hot here in TN, but I’ve got a lot done. Been tied up the last couple of weeks with my real job, but will hit the grindstone next week. Mr. JC is next in line….
Real Milk Paint Dark Tung Oil… Then mix 1/3 beeswax, 1/3 Turpentine, 1/3 Linseed or Tung oil. Melt the bees wax in a double boiler. Remove from the heat and add the linseed/Tung oil and Turp. Let it harden up. Tom’s 1/3 mix.
