Are they struggling? Or are some miserable cunts with nothing better to do creating problems where there aren't any? Boy this thread got retarded fast.
I'm probably the wrong guy to ask. Anything 5.56 gets shot with an LPVO, and it eats my established loads I already have, I don't do load development anymore. It shoots blaster 55gr around 1.5" and 69/77gr stuff around .8". Maybe it can shoot better but thats about all I can do with 6x and a...
Yeah, nothing exciting about those primers or little smears. Don't feel bad. Guys post pics of case heads that say Creedmoor right on them and still manage to write "Creedmore" all the time.
I've had bad enough luck with Faxon that I wouldn't recommend them for an accuracy build. I'm sure others have better experiences with them, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth.
That's not what I was getting at. I just see tons of silly posts where people tie an exact velocity to a given barrel length and believe it applies across the board.
At least an intermediate if not rifle gas 16" for your application. No matter what, you're going to have a tricky operational window to have it work well both suppressed and unsuppressed without a way to regulate gas.
Sounds like you're getting an .073 regardless of any replies. A mid gas 308 with no provisions for gas adjustment in conjunction with occasional suppressor use sounds like a not great idea though.
That's all fair enough. But it does sound like something that could be done with a 2x optic, which opens up a lot of options with more top end magnification and higher image quality/fewer compromises at the precision end of things. 1x optics with more than 6x max mag all seem so compromised that...
