    If it's a stock made for a 700, then it'll be a drop-in. The accuracy it will provide is a different story. You will need to provide more details in order for us to judge the accuracy level.

    Musky is right. The flitz is good stuff. Sounds like a surface stain. Take it down to the good metal and she'll probly be pretty again and stay that way. I would dura coat if I were you. It's an easy enough job. And you will feel better about the situation after you're done.

    In my opinion, u shouldn't store "long term". Unless you use cosmoline or plug the chamber and fill barrel with grease, which I dont recommend. It really doesn't matter what oil you choose or how liberally you use it. Once the barrel is coated and you stand the gun in the safe, gravity pulls...

    Well guys, I bought the thing. My brother and I went to Virginia this morning and shot with it all day. Worked it all the way out to 1040 yards. It shot 9 inch groups at 1000 yards CONSISTENTLY. I'm kinda new to all this, so is that sub MOA? Maybe some of you "experts" could answer that for me...
