New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Vectronix Vector X 12x42 LRF Binoculars with the SMR reticle. These are basically brand new. I put them on a tripod for about 30 minutes one day and played with them here at my private range. I’ve decided to stick with my Swaros and my PLRF05 for now. These will come with everything that came in...
I knew it was too simple to just use the true wind direction off Target A and then have it calculate/change as the azimuth changed from Target A to Target E.
I appreciate the info. That’s a kick in the nuts as I was hoping I could use these during matches instead of my PLRF05, Kestrel, and separate binos. Maybe they will fix it in the future. I guess for now, the Vectors will be used for hunting only.
I’ve read the entire user manual (all 100+ pages). I need some help. Can some one tell me the process for wind capture when ranging multiple targets (say on a stage) that has a wide left to right pan. If target (A) has a 3-5 mph coming from 12:00 and all the way over to target (E) it’s coming...
If this will be your only pair of binoculars, 15x56 can be a chunk to tote around all the time. I used a pair of 10x42 Swaros for many years and got by just fine. As for the the choices you mentioned above, I wouldn’t waste money on Crossfire or diamondbacks.
An oil patch keeps that barrel slicked up so your boolits shoot out the end faster. I use an oil patch every 10 rounds so my boolits are always going faster than my friends boolits. They shoot fast. They shoot so so fast.
The Garmin is a proven unit with very few reports of issues. It’s by far the best money I’ve spent on shooting gear since my AutoTrickler setup. If I had to choose between Garmin and Athlon, well that’s a fucking no brainer there. Now factor in a proven unit vs an unproven unit. I paid $599 for...
Another short from a hunt a couple nights ago. He came in quick after I played a pair howl for about 15 seconds then switched over to TNT. Using the Nocpix ACE H50R on my 22 Creed.
I dont know why I didnt think of this. This explains why i'm able to hold the "+" off the highline pole a good bit and it will still give the same range reading. Im gonna have to check mine and see exactly how it is oriented.
The Anchor works very well. I have no issues with recoil using it (6mm's). Ive heard that the RecoilX thing listed above works well also, but its longer than a whore's dream. I guess if length isnt an issue for you, its a option as well.
I picked up my Scythe Ti yesterday. Got to hunt with it last night. So far no complaints with it. The coyotes died just as quick as well. I did order a .224 cal end cap for it from Bauer Precision since it will pretty much stay on my .22 Creed.
