    6.5 PRC Pressure signs

It could also be that you have a carbon ring built up in there. I developed a pretty good carbon ring in my 6.5 PRC shooting suppressed.

Does anyone else get frustrated reloading

When I was competitive shooting and reloading I used to get all wrapped around the axle And very frustrated. These days it just reload for hunting and plinking and it’s very therapeutic. I enjoy reloading now. My proses is really slow and almost robotic the way I do everything the same. I’ll...

Is the new "custom" dies worth the extra money?

I’ve kicked around the same idea of buying a set of expensive dies also. I used to shoot PRS style matches, and gave it up about 5 years ago. I quit reloading and sold most of my reloading gear. Some of it I wish I hadn’t, but oh well. I’m back to reloading again and making precision hunting...

Testing loads - Am I doing it wrong?

For me my brain doesn’t work that way. There is just too much going on there to stay focused on one thing. I research the bullet I’m wanting to load, then get after it. Unless the bullet I choose is obviously not going to work,, I don’t normally switch. I may try something later down the road...

In my part of the country I see coyotes all the times of the day. Lots of open country, with big hills, scab rock and sage brush. Not many trees. I would say I call in 80 percent of the coyotes I shoot, during the winter they are less likely to come to the call so I switch to spot and stock...

    Best 5.56 bullet for Coyotes

55 grain BTHP match. I’ve killed coyotes out to 250 yards with my 10.5” SBR. Works pretty good.

I keep it close most of the time. 25 to 30 yards. Make sure you can see and see down wind of the call. Coyotes will generally circle to get down wind, except for the young dumb ones or the super hungry ones.

I think the key is to cammo up and be still. No moving around while calling. Pick a distress call and play it for up to a minute, then go silent for 5 to 10 minutes. Then repeat. I usually give up on a stand after 25 min. Just remember, be still and the silence and patience kills.

You sir are a killer for sure! That’s awesome! I missed two yesterday at close range, well within 100 yards. They came in on a wire, to rabbit distress. They are responding reel well to calling right now. I freakin suck….!
