    gun insurance?

Re: gun insurance? Most homeowner's policies can have a "rider" attached for a reasonable premium - so long as the collection is not very expensive (what "very expensive" means will depend on the company - but ranges from $5K to $25K or more). If additional coverage on guns is...

    All these .22 duds

Re: All these .22 duds Using Remington Golden Bullets, my 10/22 will experience a failure to fire at least 1/50 times. Using Federal and Winchester, it is more like 1/100 will FTF. With any of that ammo, my Marlins (60 & 795) have yet to fail to fire. I must add - I have never fed CCI...

Appleseed Project - Liberty Training Rifle

Re: Appleseed Project - Liberty Training Rifle Good info by Nickle. I personally welcome the idea of someone "high up" in the Appleseed program taking some of the problems to heart. I agree that the Appleseed instructor qualifications appear to be much more intensive than the NRA instructor...

Rather than helping hijack the LTR thread.........

Re: Rather than helping hijack the LTR thread......... OK, so I've rattled off a lot on the problems with the Appleseed project. One of my pet peeves is people who find fault, but offer no alternatives or feedback. I will not be like that. On my blog, I've commented on Appleseed, its...

Appleseed Project - Liberty Training Rifle

Re: Appleseed Project - Liberty Training Rifle To those considering going to an Appleseed, or considering taking another person to one (especially a newer shooter) I have some suggestions: 1. Make sure the attendee has been out shooting before. A few times is good. 2. Make sure the attendee...

Advanced Marksmanship The value of NPA...

Re: The value of NPA... When you do it right, you can have somebody cover your eyes after you've taken aim. When they uncover your eyes - you are still on target. Being able to hit 1" squares at 25 meters without seeing the target as one squeezes the trigger is absolutely awesome!
