I agree, test the waters and see what your gun likes while keeping in mind price, availability, and whether you are reselling brass. One rd may give you a .3 group vs a .5 group but if it’s always out of stock or it’s breaking the bank, does it really matter? Personally, have only shot two rds...

I’ve started going outside, looking around and guessing the wind, then checking it using gadget. Guessed between 6-10mph today at work and it ended up being 7mph average with a max of 11.6mph. I guess practicing this stuff actually starts to pay off 🤷🏻‍♂️😎

Take it easy Francis, measuring diameter and doing simple addition/subtraction is not a college algebra problem. And it also takes about 30 seconds, perhaps you should have stopped pulling Sally’s pigtails and paid more attention in 3rd grade 🙄

Similar, measure both diameter of chamber and diameter of scope, add the radius of both, then take easy measurement from bottom of scope to top of barrel and add that number to your diameters# and should be perfect.

Ideally, what I would like to do, is have the ability to rely on as little tech as possible (no tripods, no relying on iPhone and ballistics apps in field, not a million different bags, etc)…just a man and his rifle. If I had only my rifle, can I hit the target at ranges out to 1,000yds. Target...
