Best carbine stock for precision work?

I like the STR I have on my SPR. Solid lock up and cheek weld.

Factory Noveske upper and BCG. Essentially a milspec BCG.

    Help with first SBR build

Love my 10.5 Noveske Switchblock. Flawless over well over a thousand rounds. And much, much, much prefer the simplistic nature of the system vice infinitely variable AGBs. They each have their purpose. But for a hard use gun, the switchblock flat works, is intuitive, and uber-reliable...

    Precision ar handguard

Quad rails are going to be strongest. But they come with weight, bulk, and comfort penalties.

    Help with first SBR build

I don't put CL'ed barrels on a pedestal. I am simply advocating for the right tool for the job. And I will stand by my comments that a CHF CL'ed barrel is a more appropriate choice for hard use than a match grade SS barrel, i.e. a krieger.

Then you don't want a match barrel. That's the wrong tool for your job. You want a CHF CL'ed barrel. Centurion Arms Hodge DD FN Noveske BCM Colt 11.5 FBI H barrels, of which I have one that is dimpled, are very hardy and accurate. They are button barrels though. My Noveske 10.5 switchblock...

With 10.5, I'm running a CHF, CL'ed barrel. Are you trying to build a super mini-recce?

In most instances, you have to call/email and ask. Or do some internet research. I would also STRONGLY recommend you consider Centurion Arms. They are putting out criminally underrated stuff. And if you email or call them, Corrie (owner's wife) will answer all your questions. She has been...

Rifle Scopes Is vortex a cheap quality company?

Their Razor and AMG lines are very high quality and can compete with (or beat) anyone short of the Alpha Class. Vortex's customer service and warranty (across all lines) simply cannot be beaten. They also have lower price point offerings for those with budgets.

.070 - .71 IMO. IIRC, .070 is what the mil uses in their 10.3 barrels and is designed for 556 pressure. Weak .223 may, or may not, work reliably depending upon the buffer you use. The AGB will give you some wiggle room here if you go larger. Zero reason to go above .78 though.

I've got 7.5's, 10.5', and 11.5. Unless the goal is simply to go as short as possible, suggest you take a close look at 11.5 inch barrels and their associated ballistics. Also, as others have stated, do NOT ignore your gas port. It will make a significant difference in your shooting...

    Geissele Rails

I like G's stuff. But I'm also not a G fanboi. The Mk16 bendgate is horribly overblown. Hang heavy shit on the end of a long thin aluminum rail, and it will bend with sufficient impact force. Physics is physics. The bending report started with a MAWL being hung on the end of a 13.5 Mk16...

    Geissele Rails

The barrel nuts are different for some of their rails. I think the newer, slimmer rails (MK13/14/16) have different barrel nuts than the earlier Mks. I'd email them. They have always responded to my email inquiries.

    Ballistic Advantage barrels?

Although perhaps not helpful to your thread, I have two BA barrels. Both are 7.5 inches. One is a hansen and the other a modern series barrel that I bought on clearance. What I can tell you is both of those barrels have been problem free for me....and the Hansen gets run with an Echo trigger...
