Awesome work. Way neater than my scribbling.

Tikka CTR .260 case/chamber spec help needed

Did you mean the Lapua brass length is 2.020-2.026” instead of 2.200-2.206"? If the length is actually the latter then that’s way too long, and you’d almost certainly be experiencing excessive pressure. Check the shoulder length of new brass versus the shoulder length of fired brass and then...

Load Development Targets - feedback wanted

Take out "Velocity" from the last three fields and just use AVG, ES, and SD, or abbreviate it and use VEL AVG, VEL ES, and VEL SD? Maybe just “#Fired" or “Times fired" instead of "Brass # Fired"? Super nitpicky stuff, I know, but more thinking out loud than any sort of criticism. ;)

Load Development Targets - feedback wanted

Like I said, yours look way better. :ROFLMAO: I do like a field for pressure signs. What about a small empty box below the target data fields for recording whatever other info may be pertinent? Say I’m checking primer seating depth. That’s not necessarily something that needs its own...

Load Development Targets - feedback wanted

Probably top, as I only rarely mess with annealing variations on target. This happens for me very early in load development and then I settle on a number that gets used for the life of the brass/barrel. I’d put #FIRED in the bottom as I don’t mix brass batches on the same target, but I very...

Load Development Targets - feedback wanted

The one I make with details on what steps were used in the loading process to assemble the rounds that were fired on the target. I also record lot numbers for powder, primer, and bullets, how many firings are on the brass, annealed or not, etc. The way my binder is organized, having the...

Load Development Targets - feedback wanted

Those look great. I also use 8.5x11 card stock in a three-ring binder. The only thing I'd change is to rotate the data fields 90° so that the target card can face the reference page where I noted the loading process used to assemble the rounds that were fired on the target.

    ARC BARLOC

The only difference with the Nucleus versus the Mausingfield in the video is that on the Nucleus there is a recoil lug that fits between the action and the BarLoc. Also, there is an option to have a normal shouldered barrel with longer tenon (to accommodate the BarLoc) that eliminates the need...

Range Report Anyone try the Hornady 143 ELD-X

I’m also running the 143 ELD-X in a 20” .260 CTR. Compared to the 140 Hybrid at the same charge weight, the 143 is getting about 40 fps more (2700 for the 143 vs 2660 for the 130 Hybrid). I initially wasn’t expecting much and bought a box of 100 for hunting season and it turns out the...

    ARC BARLOC

Correct, although I’d change it slightly and say “You would be able to change barrels with a small torque wrench for the screw and go/no-go gauges.” The torque wrench is not (or may not be) an essential so much as something that soothes my OCD demons. :ROFLMAO: And yes, Ted has a video on...

New 'production' rifle from PVA - J. Hancock

Speaking of barrels and chamberings.... I ordered a Nucleus barreled action and at checkout only had the option to select the bore size. Will there be a follow up email at some point in the future about the selection?

    Hands on Origin/Nucleus at SHOT?

I think you may be exactly right on the difference. I prefer the shouldered BarLoc setup for the aesthetics and the ability to use a “standard” contour while still being able to easily swap the barrel with nothing more than gauges and a small torque wrench. Honestly, I’m good with either...
