BC Precision is out of stock on their initial batch of SOLGW 6Max barrels, so someone is buying them... Anyone see or hear anything about initial end-user results?

If you handload, 6.5 Grendel in a bolt gun is awesome. Hopefully Palmetto State Armory's forthcoming 123gr 6.5G ammo will be less than $1/rd - that would really open up access to factory ammo again. My Howa Mini action in 6.5G with custom "Howage" barrel in Boyd's Agility stock:

This is the correct answer. Crown Ridge Barrel Works makes a great replacement barrel that comes with a barrel nut for easy head spacing.

Yep, same. I've even threaded the barrels I've cut using hand tools. For barrels that don't need to mount suppressors, that also works just fine.

For shooting suppressed, I 100% prefer bolt guns over ARs. With good mag capacity and a 60deg bolt throw these should run pretty darned fast if you need follow-up shots.

The turrets on both of my Athlons are nice and crispy. I'm not a huge fan of the zero stop but it works. Love the turret locking feature.

Athlon Helos BTR Gen 2 and Grendels -- great combination, IMHO. :cool: 2-12x42 Gen2 AHMR2 mil reticle on a 16.5" AR, 4-20x50 Gen2 APRS6 mil reticle on a 20" Howa mini action. 600 yards, no problem. Great scopes for the cartridge and for the money.
