    Thanks but I should have mentioned that I fitted an HS detachable mag system. Despite being billed as a drop in, I had to shave just the tiniest bit. I assume the original bottom metal will fit. I should check it before I go too far. What does your stock look like?

    I have a 5R in .308. Shoots really well. I've never liked the HS stock much. Thinking I'd like something "tactical". Adjustable LOP and cheek weld. Reasonably light. Any suggestions. Money, as always, is a consideration. Thanks for any advice.

    My son just got a great find on a nice Arisaka which uses 7.7x58 ammo. Problem is we can't find anyone who sells this ammo. Does anyone know who might carry the ammo? We did find one box by Hornady locally at $42 a box of 20. But they are sold out and every site on the internet is sold out...
