    Care And Feeding Of A GAP 6.5 SAUM.....

    I have been getting small dents on the shoulder portion of the casing when I resize. Its not an issue of excessive lube as I have cleaned my die repeatedly and tried one shot lube as well as imperial. My dies may be slightly different as I bought them in 2009. They are Redding FL 6.5/300...

    All the talk about meplat trimming and bullet pointing has me wondering if pointed bullets (Berger Hunting VLD's) will expand reliably down to the velocities the state for an unmodified bullet? Has anyone thats pointing them seen a differance on game?

    New Gal Here From SoCal - Thinking About a 280 AI Custom Mountain Rifle

    I have a 280AI in a Rem 700 Hart #5 combo. It is super accurate and doesnt kick much as its a 10lb deal all up. Great cartridge but would be a handfull in a Mtn. Rifle package with heavier bullets without a break. A 260 or 7mm08 would make a great little mtn gun.
