New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Define "light."
And if you give a $$$ range, it could help narrow down options.
NF NXS 2.5-10 or SHV 3-10 are the lightest I prefer at 20 oz.
Anything lighter just didn't stand up to turret twisting or 300 Win Mag recoil.
For more magnification, I have the Trijicon Credo HX 2.5-18 at...
Cajun.... listen to the advice given here, but satisfy your curiosity as well. It's called the learning process.
I've explored many dead end rabbit holes before getting to the quick answer given on the Hide, but what I learned was priceless.
It helps you better understand WHY... and...
Fig... you are correct. I turned down $2,500 for a mint with box early 90's Stainless 6" King Cobra in 2018.
Now I can't get close to that.
All I hear now is, "new ones are less money than your old one."
I think it's a buyers market at the moment.
As an update since this was revived.... I wound up getting a ZCO 5-27x56. It's amazing. More usable at the top end of the magnification range than the others i listed. I eventually want a ZCO 4-20x50 for a lighter rig.
I have not looked through any of the Kahles, S&B, Zeiss S3 6-36...
I'll 2nd the above for NF 2.5-10 NXS and 4-16 ATACR in both FFP and SFP.
Check out Trijicon Credo and tenmile as well. They aren't snipery, but mine haven't let me down in a hunting situation.
