    shaved copper on my bullets

Re: shaved copper on my bullets The Barnes bullets don't "give" much and the case will shave off some of the bullet if you don't put enough of a chamfer on the case. Other bullets are a lead core and will give slightly before the case will shave copper off the bullet. This has been my...

Tactical sling for rifle to pistol transition

Re: Tactical sling for rifle to pistol transition I'm not mil or leo, but I shoot in a rifle/pistol league. I have found the magpul MS2 works good for me. It is a single point that can be easily converted to a two point. It might be worth checking out, but I don't know how well it will work...

    MAGPUL B.A.D. Levers?

Re: MAGPUL B.A.D. Levers? If you shoot right handed they are a huge improvement. The ability to lock back and release the bolt with your trigger finger is a huge plus. I shoot left handed and can do both of those functions except without the lever.

    Magpul CTR

Re: Magpul CTR CTR's are great for ar's with 16" and shorter barrels. If it is longer than 16" then you should consider a UBR. A UBR will help balance out a rifle that is barrel heavy because of it's extra weight. CTR's don't weigh very much and don't balance well with a longer or heavier barrel.

    Advanced Marksmanship Shooting glasses???

Re: Shooting glasses??? I use the ESS Ice Naro's when I go shooting. It looks like you might be able to Rx inserts for them, but I'm guessing you would have to contact ESS or go through a dealer. It might be worth looking into.

    Evolution of AR Design

Re: Evolution of AR Design The debate between DI vs. Gas Piston is heavily influenced by opinion, and not so much on facts. Good luck on your search.

What distance to Zero in at

Re: What distance to Zero in at I use a 25 yd zero. less than 25 yards is height over bore. Beyond 25 yds you stay a little over point of aim till 275, and then you start to see drop. I use a Aimpoint T1, and most of my shooting is done at 25 and less. Sometimes I ring the steel at 100 and...

    New AR Troubles

Re: New AR Troubles The buffer will have be marked (stamped) if it is a H, H2, H3. If it has no mark it should be a carbine buffer which is the lightest. You should find out what spring you have as well. The only way I know of to figure out what you have is to compare it to a regular carbine...
