I'm well aware why they purge scopes. The light at dusk was not bright, it was at the verge of becoming too dark to shoot, sunshade would do nothing in this scenario. Everyone knows where Bushnell scopes are made, my point being they can make scopes that have a much lower percentage of returns...- Will M

That's my thinking too! I "was" going to replace my Weaver 15x on my Rem 40X but since it's sighted in and works well I don't want the Rem out of commission.
