    Gunsmithing Damascus Slide

This may get shot down but I will ask anyway. Are there any smiths/machinists out there that would be willing to mill out a 1911 slide made from MY damascus/pattern welded steel? The idea is that I want to make my dad a knife, pen, pencil and pistol "set" all out of my steel. I can handle the...

    Connecticut firearm surrender letter

Umm. I may have missed something here. Somebody jump in and correct me if needed. The letter itself is dated Jan 2 yes? It states that the application was not received or POSTMARKED before Jan 1. Okay, so at very best the letter was drafted on Jan 2 immediately after receiving the application...

League Of Denial - NFL & Head Trauma - Should Your Son Play?

Lots of good points here. I played from the sixth grade on through college. 11 years total. Linebacker in high school and college. Mostly special teams in college. I was a "wedge buster". Those who have played know what that is. Never will forget what the coach said one day. "I don't give care...

    Recovering Retainer Fees?

Thanks to all for the advice. I have contacted the probate court concerning this. They said that it will be 45 days from his death before anything is filed with them as far as an executor being appointed. The woman I spoke with went on to say that sometimes nothing is filed with them.???? What...

    Recovering Retainer Fees?

Without going into great detail, here is the story. I paid an attorney a retainer to handle issues we are having with my wife's ex. We had used this attorney in the past and were satisfied with his service. So, a few days after we pay him and the check is cashed, he has a massive heart attack...

    Suppressors Thunderbeast 30P-1 / Rem700P LTR / POI Info

Your can should "bottom out" against the shoulder. You should have a gap between the can and shoulder. It sounds like you can is tightening up against the threads themselves where the tooling was coming out of or into the cut.

    Suppressors Thunderbeast 30P-1 / Rem700P LTR / POI Info

You need to look at the thread specs on TBAC website. Pretty sure the can is supposed to be tight against the shoulder of the barrel. It doesn't look like there is and undercut behind the threads either. Link below. What are the thread specs for 5/8-24 ? | Thunder Beast Arms Forum
