Criterion makes some great pre-fit barrels for Savage rifles .I have one in 260 Rem. with a cheap stock. I have hit a plate at 1760 yards with it. Less than a 1,000 in it so that's not bad.
Guess I am one of the lucky ones. I've had a Recon for 6 years and not had a problem with it. I have put over 1000 rounds through my Savage in 260 Rem. shooting from 100 yds. out to 1760. Also have the 6-24x56 on a 6.5x47 I love them both. I have never seen my eye reflection in either. Great...
I have both, and like both very much. But I am not one to cretic scopes, I bought them because the glass is very clear and like the extreme reticle. For me the center dot is easy for me to hold on the target weather shooting paper or steel. Did the Michigan Steel shoot last weekend and had no...
Can't say enough about the guys that made this shoot come off !!!! Thanks for all the work you did to make this a great match. Also want to thank all the sponsors that donated all the great prizes for us. If these 70 year old knees hold up I will be back. I want to see the film of my gallop...
That could be a loaded question!! There are a lot of people on here that DO NOT like IOR scopes. I have 2 and love them. It seems the old scopes were not made very well!
The Nosler 260 Rem. I bought 3 years ago SUCKED! Pitched half away after 1 or 2 firing because the primer pockets enlarged and would not hold a primer. Back then most complained that their brass was to soft.
Sorry I don't understand? You say you are cranking up meaning you are turning the elevation nob up in the direction the arrow shows up? Or are you turning the nob down to raise the reticle up?
I bought a Bobro three years ago and love it. It comes with its own picatinny attachment and is very solid. I plan on buying another one day, just not right away. Spent $4200. on scopes in the last few months, buy once cry once. OUCH!
I have 5 flat recievered Savages, 2 long and 3 short and they all run 20 moa bases. And I have not had a problem getting a 100 yd. zero. Also I have not bedded any of the bases. I have used EGW, Badger, Farrell. Nightforce and Sekkins and they all work.
I'm using the IOR 4-28x50 40mm Recon on my 308 and there is no comparison with my NXS. The Schott Glass is the clearest of any scope I have looked through.
Just bought the IOR 6-24x56 at the Tulsa gun show 2 weekends ago. Haven't had time to mount it yet but hope to this weekend. Love the extreme 1 reticle they have. Do not know street price but list is about $2300.
