    7 saum

With the 160 class bullets in the 7 SAUM, you don’t have any of the problems of seating bullets deep in the case, debating whether to go with a short or medium action, or special custom throating. If you try to use 180 or 190gr bullets, you’re getting into a place the cartridge just wasn’t...

    7 saum

I’ve taken several Wyoming elk with the 180gr Berger Hunting VLDs out of the 7 SAUM and they do quite well. My longest shot to date was with the same on an antelope at a full half mile (880 yds) but it didn’t expand. Just penciled through and looked like a miss in the scope. Perfect double...

    7mm SAW

N560 works exceptionally well in the 7 SAUM with 162s but I’m using a compressed load of H4350 in the 7 SAW. As a double base powder, N560 might be really good at squeezing every bit of speed out of the 7 SAW’s slightly smaller case capacity and avoiding a compressed load.

    7mm SAW

For anyone annealing 7 SAW Alpha brass with an AMP Mark II Aztec, the code I came up with is 0159 with the #11 pilot and 011C analysis code. Hopefully that'll save someone from having to nuke a beautiful stick of Alpha brass.

    Accuracy International AT-XC

The AT-XC without a barrel is 8.2 lbs, that’s with the bridge (11.6 oz) removed and the factory bag rider replaced with the Bug Hole version. I just set one up for NRL Hunter open heavy with a 7 SAW carbon fiber barrel (3.4 lbs), Vortex LHT, and Cyke double pull and its right at 15.2 lbs.

    2025 NRL Clovis, NM match

Steel Safari is right up the road from this match and they shifted earlier into May this year. Unfortunately that didn’t line up with my schedule so I’m trying this one out. Looking forward to something new. That part of New Mexico is really cool with its Llano de Estacado escarpments. Great...

Rifle Competition Events NRL Hunter Dust Devil Dual AAR

Was the Dust Devil Dual anywhere out along the Palo Duro canyon? The entire Llano Estacado is such a cool area. My schedule wouldn't allow getting out to Steel Safari in May so the next best option was the NRL Hunter at Clovis in June. Always fun when the match you're shooting has a really...

Rifle Competition Events NRL Hunter Dust Devil Dual AAR

OP, thanks for the good AAR on the match. I'm spooling up to go to the Hunter's Coalition match in Clovis, NM in late June. Question for you or any NRL Hunter experts: Can you use an OBI attachment with a tripod in an extended configuration? The tripod I have is a RRS TFCT-34 with three...

    Dog flea/tick control

Never had a cat or dog of mine get fleas, but the flea & tick shampoos they sell at pet stores or Walmart will do the job. Bathing an ornery cat is best handled as a two person job. One holds the business end (teeth and claws) while the other does the scrubbing. My wife and I even do that...

Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

Hopefully some offerings for Griffin cans are in the pipeline with Recoil X. The Paladin 300 HDs would be awesome with a brake on the end. Shameless plug for my particular needs.

    Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Thanks @TheOE800! The knowledge to be found here on the Hide is awesome. In my case, Capital Armory would be the FFL for some Griffin Armament Paladin 300 HDs. Those are great cans and this is the second batch of them I’ve ordered.
