I was looking more for the amax's and I didn't want to buy 1000 bullets and spend 350 dollars on them before I knew if my gun would even like them but I ordered some 123 scenars from bullets.com today thanks
Thanks a lot! Maybe I should get 123s or 130s then because most of my shots are 450-750 but I might try them anyway because I don't hunt in high winds because I never see anything out
You got me, bullets.com has 100 count boxes... I'm assuming they're a same place to order from since you suggested them so I'll be ordering some after work today. Thank you for helping
I wanted the amax more because I'm going to use the gun from ground hogs and I want to avoid buying 1000 bulleta before I know if my gun will even shoot them well, I want the 100 bullet packs
Would you mind sharing your load for the 107s? I want to use varget because that's readily available to me but I can get whatever else if I have to off the internet if the gun store doesn't have it.
That's great to hear. From what you said I should be good with pretty much whatever bullet I wanted to shoot. Thank you, especially for the fast reply. I build this gun mostly for varmints so I'm hoping the SMK will do the trick on ground hogs and coyotes until I can get some amax's.
My new 6.5x47 is going to be done soon and i ordered a 1:9 twist brux when i got everything. I am having trouble finding 123 amax and scenars i planned on trying first so i was wondering how you guys thought the 107 smk would shoot? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, ive leared a lot...
By definition accuracy and precision both require multiple shots. When I got my rem 700 new and was working on loads I had the first shot hit bullseye and the next two inches low. If I called it good with the first shot is never hit anything I shot at.
That's a good looking gun! I'm not sure if you mentioned this but what twist is that barrel? I have a 6.5x47 being built right now for the same reason and I got a 1-9 twist hoping to shoot the 123 amax.
This is my first post because I don't know as much as everyone here, so I hope this helps. My 700 did the same thing and I took the internal magazine out and bent the lips at the top that hold the shell, just a little bit further apart so they didn't hold the case so tight and then polished them...
