    Re: "Melonite barrel treatment" (DONE)!!!! The only reasons I can imagine for more velocity would be if the bore diameter was reduced, as was previously mentioned. Or, possibly the powder used had a burn rate that happened to work better with the reduced friction in the treated barrel...
