Have I damaged my LMT MWS308???
Hello all, After reading more about my LMT, I realize I may have an issue upon my hands. I have purchased an LMT model MWS308 CL 16" - the caveat being the lower receiver also says 7.62x51 and the actual barrell itself has 7.62x51 NATO written on it. Paint Will I be able to paint over the stainless steel barrel? I have to be honest when I say that thing looks ug-ly! Thank you for the advice everyone. It seems that I will be heading towards a Remington 700 5R. hopefully I can attach a nightvision device to those manners stocks...- yawaworht

Cont... I should add I have never shot a 300wm, and am a little concerned about recoil. I have shot a 7mm rem mag, and handled it well, but I definitely felt the recoil. That was a very light hunting rifle however. I guess I am wondering if with a muzzle break the recoil could be tamed...- yawaworht
