Sidearms & Scatterguns What pocket pistol to get?

I've got a Smith 642 in 38 special. I love the thing. Trigger is heavier than hell, but I want it that way anyway. I think it weighs around 14 oz maybe? It's pretty neglected, but still goes bang every time.

Teach Me About "Tactical" Lever Guns

If you ever make it to northern MN in August, hit us up! I'm sure you can, I'd be very shocked if someone said no.

Teach Me About "Tactical" Lever Guns

Fun note about this- My local range has a black powder "tournament" called Squinty Eye every year. A hunters course with grouse, deer, etc steel targets set up along a trail. A few buildings with targets inside, a range with targets out to 300 yards of different sizes, all with black powder...

    freedom munitions ?

My local range requires plated or lead ammo for their pistol matches to save the steel a bit. I haven't used any Freedom rifle ammo, but I exclusively buy 9mm and 38 special from them. It's not match quality, but for plinking it's fantastic.

    Broke my Kimber .308

If it were me and I was going sell it, I'd probably just be up front about the damage and take the hit on it. Personal opinion is I'd rather do the fix myself in the way that I wanted to rather than hope the person I bought the rifle from did a good enough job. I definitely wouldn't put a new...

Coup De Grace vs Nucleus or Origin

I appreciate that! GT isn't one I had considered, but I haven't looked a whole lot into the short action calibers. Which actions do you currently have?

Coup De Grace vs Nucleus or Origin

Yeah I wouldn't really care about the flutes one way or the other. I haven't really decided on an initial short action caliber, but I'm strongly considering one of the first barrels being 6 Dasher. Can anybody confirm if that runs well in AW mags? I did a quick search and seems like MDT 6br mags...

Coup De Grace vs Nucleus or Origin

So umm... Hate to bring up an old(ish) thread, but is the general consensus the CDG then? Unfortunately there is absolutely zero chance of seeing any of these in a store near me, possibly (although unlikely) to see someone at the Hibbing or Virginia gun clubs in Minnesota that have one. Ideally...

    Scope Recommendation

I don't have any recommendations for you on optics, but if you haven't already I recommend signing up for Eurooptics LEO/Mil/First Responder discount. Recently did this and I'm pretty shocked at some of the savings. Edit: One recommendation I'd make is personally I'd be more concerned about the...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Haha yeah that would have been more accurate. 280 AI I feel would be about perfect for me as the furthest possible shot I have access to anywhere is only 719, and I don't intend on taking any game shots past 400.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Hahaha well I don't have a first born to sell, let alone a third... However that makes the purchase of toys and arms much easier 😁

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Appreciate that. Then the question is caliber, but that's an internal debate. Leaning towards 280 AI but we'll see.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

So I'm pretty interested in the CDG as it checks every box on my list (CRF, toolless bolt disassembly, interchangeable bolt head, 3 lug.) Never had a custom action/rifle though, but this one seems like a good introduction to the class. That being said, how big of a PITA is it to get prefits for...

    Garand ammo?

I can say first hand the S&B M1-specific ammo is good stuff. I won my first match with it through my M1, though I think that was mostly just luck and a good spotting scope on my part. I wanna add that if you're gonna be reloading it, that was a pain in the ass. Something about the inside of the...

    Athlon Ares ETR vs BTR?

Hey folks, I've been curious about these two scopes, unfortunately I dont have a dealer local to me. I'll be putting something on an AR10 in 308, and I think these two are the biggest contenders unless someone has another recommendation up to that...
