I am a dentist currently on indefinite disability due to extnsive spinal injuries as a result of stupidity on the part of a student instructor. I have a 3 level cervical fusion and multiple damaged discs and vertebrae, several of which fractured in the incident. Pain and forced inactivity are my normal daily regimen, but on occasional 'good' days, my fiancee takes me to the range for some short shooting sessions, I have to use a Lead Slead, which aggravates me, but I can't risk any moredamage to my neck and back from recoil. I rely heavily on muzzle brakes as well. Hopefully, I will heal enough to get back into the groudhog fields and walk around like I used to; as it is now, a half an hour out of bed requires at least an hour lying down recovering from the effort. Not fun for someone who used to spend 20 to 30 hours a week in the gym and martial arts training.

When some asshat breaks your neck, your world changes forever, I don't care what the doctors say. It's not their neck, and if they don't believe me, I'll break theirs and let them live it like I do.
