barrel burn out

Isn’t the appeal of those things the ability to just replace barrels and have a bunch of different calibers? I thought you could just order them from TC or dealers.

That’s a lot of single shot rounds to smoke a barrel. Unless you have at least 1200 rounds on it then I would look to something else for the cause of whatever’s going on that’s making you think the barrel is done. Ideally that barrel should make it 2000 rounds minimum with the accuracy that rifle is capable of and the speed it’s capable of firing.

Even not hot rodded in terms of round count....I'll say it's toast around 800ish rounds from a good accuracy stand point. Button rifled barrel isn't going to help the life either.

Its an Encore.
It has a lock time just a hair faster than a brown bess, they are very unforgiving to spotty fundamentals.. Your groups must have really gotten bad to notice a burned out barrel.
If you indicated whether this is a pistol or rifle I didn't catch it.....not that it matters.

Buy a new barrel.
I'd rather replace with a Match Grade Machine barrel. They are pretty much the best out there.
I wouldn't deal with EABco.
You can get a factory Encore barrel lots of places. Natchez shooters supply I think still carries them. Midsouth used to carry them. Gunbroker.
If you want the most "accuracy" you can get, go with custom from MGM.
