nothing really new in this. been going on by all gov agencies for years. eg-fed trade and communications commissions have swat teams or their equivalent as does the EPA.

When the time comes...the alphabets will hire contractors to take care of pockets of resistance. Each agency will have it's set of goons. Little easier to spread around 1B worth of spending if you spread it around to a couple of dozen agencies.Again... WTF does the IRS need with ANY ammo, much less millions of rounds?
They are lawyers and accountants. Not door-kickers.
I don't think the IRS should even exist. But since they do exist, how about letting the IRS file the necessary legal paperwork and let the US marshals do the door-kicking when it's "necessary."
EPA, HUD, Dept of Education, etc... are staffed by paper shufflers not commandos. The list of agencies with the authorization to carry weapons/ammo should be able to be counted on one hand.
I don't need (nor should I pay for) Carl from the Dept. of Ed's textbook division toting an MP5.

I'll good for 1 ticket. PP OK?So total hypothetical question that's always been in my mind.
If on 9/11 the terrorists had run the planes into IRS buildings instead of the WTC and Pentagon;
A. Would we have ever gone to war?
B. Would anyone have cared a week later?
C. What would the probability be that the US citizen would have had a more favorable outlook on muslim terrorists as opposed to the IRS?
I realize this is the internet. So my earlier post questioning why the alphabet soup gang needs ammo was rhetorical... I'm guessing the snark didn't come across like I wanted it to.You guys are dumb.
Think.
No really.....fucking think.
The more the government buys, the less that is available for us.
Now, with this new found knowledge.....THINK.
It is an attempt to take guns from us in a sideways sneaky way.
Nothing more....nothing less.
Right, with the looming tidal wave of red flags coming, they'll need all hands on deck to implement "the great confiscation"When the time comes...the alphabets will hire contractors to take care of pockets of resistance. Each agency will have it's set of goons. Little easier to spread around 1B worth of spending if you spread it around to a couple of dozen agencies.
