I’d like to see the mountains and Northern California break off into their own state. 50/50 chance their reps would be left leaning but it’s close to 100% now.

Of course this could never happen. If it did, western Oregon and Washington would be next, with the possibility of update NY and rural Virginia following. The rabid left would eat its own.

The State of Jefferson movement has been going for awhile. Even though lots of rural Comifornia is very much conservative, hard working middle class, it still is full of dependents of the system. Welfare and Healthcare are the big ones. Kings and queens of the trailer park won't jeopardize that!!

Shame is, like some other states, the big cities control the politics. Get away from the coast, and cali is a wonderful place with lots of conservative, hard working people. I would move to Fresno in a heartbeat, if it wasn't in california
The Central Valley has more in common with Oklahoma than Sacramento

georgia is also a victim-of atlanta. here in fl we have maintained a semblance of freedom but the SE costal areas are a growing threat to that with scattered communist areas in the rest of the state.

Oh come on. It's not even that bad, OP. You know as well as I do that it's at least 100X worse. Where's the infrastructure collapse, the decaying roadways, the collapsing education system, the increasingly overzealous taxation and intrusive regulation? Where's the continual out-migration of both productive workers and businesses? California's much worse than the picture suggests. It's actually the closest thing to anarchy and the results of anarchy that any still remotely civilized society on Earth has ever observed.

I hope they attract numerous pro-lib people to California. The other states should simply consider it taking out the trash.

No matter what the so-called "conservative" portions of California attempt to claim, the libs hold an unstoppable super majority in the state legislature and the governor mansion, and there isn't even a glimmer of daylight at the end of the tunnel for that to change in the next generation-plus worth of time. Move away or be willing serfs.

Short of secession (the last time a state was broken off of another) and/or outright dissolution of the USA, dividing up an existing state is never happening. It's a pipe dream, plain and simple, and one look at the actual state and federal level hurdles needed to make it happen, not the least of which being the state legislature voting to diminish its own power, which we all know would NEVER happen.

California was the model for the rest of the county. They allowed mass illegal immigration thorough the passive nod or outright adoption of the reconquista movement. It took California from what was a fairly conservative state in the early and mid 80s to what we have now. New Mexico fell shortly after and Arizona is about there.

Obama ramped this up his last 4 years and Bidens handlers are doubling down. If they get enough of the people they brought in, residing in red states (a huge push under Obama) and find a way to allow them to legally vote, there will be zero balance to federal government. Not that there is much now.
