This is actually pretty funny. In the case of the tanker, the vacuum is inside the tank. The outside air pressure crushes it. In space the vacuum is outside the suit.

Yeah and it's also a function of surface area. Force = Pressure X Area. You can apply a small amount of vacuum pressure to a small area with little no no effects but put that same vacuum onto a large area and you get the tanker crushing dramatic video above. But hey, we live in a meme world.

This blew my mind. Im trying to find something to prove/disprove the suits capability to remain intact in an absoluter vacuum
Are you people including @Gee Kay barely functioning retards?

The fucking suits don't collapse in an absolute vacuum because the vacuum is external to the suit and the suit is pressurized. It's the entire opposite situation of drawing a vacuum inside a tank car while the outside is exposed to 14.7 psi.

And in case you're wondering, the tank car didn't collapse from the inside out. It collapsed from the outside in as 14.7 pounds of force per square inch on the outside no longer has 14.7 lbf per square inch opposing it from the inside.

In any case, if the pressure in the suit was lost, the person inside would not collapse like a can and instead would swell to the point of massive hemorrage due to the body's fluids violently boiling as the pressure around the body drops rapidly.

And before you go there, the boiling temperature of a fluid is dependent of the pressure surrounding it.

I swear to God some of you people are stupid beyond belief.

Agreed. Shingles sucks. Had it in my 20s and sure as shit wasn’t vaccinated.

My old man ended up with a bout of it after getting vaccinated.
The first gen shingles vaccine as only 60 to 70% effective (I think I recall those numbers) while gen 2 is around 95%.

If you decide to deal with "when", the key to preventing post-herpetic neuralgia (the horrible nerve pain that can persist months to years after shingles), is to have a high dose valacyclovir (antiviral) ready on hand as soon as symptoms start, and Lyrica /gabapentin as soon as nerve pain starts. There have been legitimate studies that show the risk of the severe pain is significantly decreased by access to these two prescriptions as soon as possible.

If you are on the fence - its probably better to get the Shingrix vaccine now, given that they are working on the mRNA vaccines for Shingles are once available will be pushed hard

Shingrix? Do they sell that at Shitty Wok?

The saddest part is that the stupid cunts don't realize how many millions of citizens will be killed when the monopoly on guns is limited to criminals and government. Evidently, they've never studied any history of gun laws and gun confiscations around the world over time.
