What's the gas tube length on this build?

I had an SBR done up in Cerakote by Ronin Arms LLC to match my Jeep (color - "Sting Ray" - just a flat gray). A shooting buddy decided to have an AR' pistol/PDW done up to match his "Billet Silver" Jeep, too. Utilizing a Craddock Bartlein 11.3" barrel with carbine +1 gas system & Wylde .223 chamber, SLR adjustable gas block, BCM MK2 recoil system, JP FMOS bolt carrier group, TriggerTech Adaptable set to 2.75 LB, and Nightforce ATACR 1-8x24 F1 in a Scalarworks mount, this rig will no doubt be another considerably sub-MOA package. The Cerakote, SanTan STT-15 ambi Hybrid receiver set, Geissele 10.5" MK16 rail, and V7 titanium small parts ensure you won't mistake this rig for anything else out there.

My 6ARC. Upper is an 18” proof CF wrapped put together by APF. Lower is a poverty pony. Glass is Ares ETR 4.5-30x56. Currently chasing groups from 3 factory offerings. The 108’s shoot the best, but not anything to write home about. Definitely shoots better out of my bolt gun in 6 ARC, .6’s vs right at 1 MOA. Anyways, reloading is in my future for sure to get the most out of this gas gun.

You definitely build some nice rigs.(y)

@Naaman

Yes, TA31F (basic red chevron). Triarc 12.5” midlength barrel, OSS 762 QD can.

Very smooth shooter. Handles well up close yet stable enough to make it out to 500.

The main downside to this gun is that it makes it near impossible to justify the need for anything else because it does a lot of things pretty well.

Haha!

Ahh, the "justification" conundrum... :ROFLMAO:

What is different about the BCM system compared to an A5?
The internal spring.

The BCM version has a different spring inside the buffer and are different weights.
I'm guessing the different spring rate offsets the difference in weights. Parts can be interchanged.

Supposedly the guy who invented Keymod left VLTOR and works at BCM now. So they just recreated it. Basically the MK2 is a A5.1.

Yup.

I saw those radian builders kit available for a short time, then they were gone. Is that setup heavier than in it's previous skin?
You know what I actually haven't weighed it before and after but it certainly feels lighter. The Noveske stuff is awesome but they certainly have a reputation for being a bit on the heavy side. I would go as far to say that my 14.5 6 ARC in the radian set, albeit proof barrel, is lighter than my Noveske when it was a 12.5 300 blk with a Noveske barrel.

Not an objective comment by any means, 100% going off of feel.

Edit:

Pic of the Noveske way back before 6 arc and Cerakote:

Sabre Defense made some good shit. Sucks they aint around no more...

Thtas downright gorgeous bro. URX3.1 just gives anything </=16" that extra "pop" to make a carbine look fckn awesome. The perennial masterpiece of carbine handguards IMO... Altho I do love the Mk 18 MOD 0, M4A1 Blk II, and M4 URGI's...
thanks

i'm also a fan of the 3.1 so i swapped out the urx4 that came on the mod 2's , the 4 is a stout handgaurd though

the urx 4 found a new home on my 300blk dsr

Have you used the JP heat sink before? Thoughts?
Yes. I actually have it on my JP GMR. It is ideal for situations of sustained high rates of fire and excessive heat build up. It increases the surface area on and around the barrel to help with cooling. It adds a little bit of weight but designed specifically for cooling (and protecting) your barrel.

Noice! Very MILSPEC looking but nicely furnished. How do you like that 1-8 mounted that low? FSP get in the way?

You got that buttpad ziptied to the same SOPMOD buttstock I had in 2003 🤣 I did the same shit
Thanks man! Don’t think it’s mounted quite as low as it looks (1.625” to center.) you see the FSP in the lower 1/3 of the FOV below 2.5x but disappears after that. Those John Masen pads are cool but don’t stay on very well without the zip tie!

And because it's a pic thread! 😁

Just installed the Wilson 11.3" match 5.56 barrel the other day. Was running a CMC 10.5" .223 Wylde, but looking for a bit more of a "bughole" barrel. We shall see.

11.3" Micro Recce with too much glass.. :ROFLMAO:

What handguard is that?

KAC SR-30, 9.5”, 13.5” URX4 rail, TBAC Ultra 9, Wilcox BOSS-Xe hybrid weapon sight on Unity riser. Ultralight Night Marauder.

Top tier kit, very nice! I regret selling my SR-30 at times but my MPW has always gotten favor and was more accurate. I love that you're using the TBAC can, I have often wondered why more haven't done that as well. Any issues with it backing off? And please give us some feedback on the Wilcox, I have been interested in those and the Steiner CQT as possible 300BLK options for close quarter pig patrol purposes.

Overall, it’s pretty awesome — but it does come with its fair share of compromises (as you’d imagine).

I think I’ll start a thread in the NV/Optics forum and put my “review” there.
Awesome! Would love to hear your thoughts. Yeah reading about the specs I can imagine some trade offs, but very cool to have that all in one comprehensive package.
